ILLUSTRATOR - SALVATORE RUBBINO

http://www.walker.co.uk/A-Walk-in-New-York-9781406306149.aspx

We had guest lecturer Salvatore Rubbino in today. I found his work really inspiring as he studies people and makes drawings from life. It made me realise that drawing is going to be the way forward for me if I want to make progress. I am excited about drawing and on thursday I am going to go somewhere busy and draw what I see!

Have a look at some of Salvatore's work here:

Notes that I made:
Drawing =
-describing and communicating things
-relationships between you and the object
-importance of authorial illustration
-traditionally words and pictures go together
-reading a book makes images in your eyes
-walker books - a walk in new york
-Salvatore is from London
